February 10, 2014 – It’s not just every square foot that counts at this site, but every square inch. The model vignettes at Smart House were designed to showcase exactly how much can fit into the small suites an offer. “Over the past 10 or 15 years, condos have gotten a lot smaller in order to keep things affordable,” says David Wex, partner with Urban Capital, the site’s developer alongside Malibu Investments. “But what’s happened is the elements in the condo – the kitchen appliances and things – haven’t adjustment.” At Smart House, then, the goal was to size everything appropriately.
